Super Pacific, a manufacturer of lightweight truck campers and accessories, has introduced its Cloud Cap. This new product is a rugged, low-profile pop-top tent and modular gear mounting platform designed to seamlessly integrate into adventure van builds.

The Cloud Cap leverages the design of Super Pacific’s proven X1 Camper, known for its super-durable four-season canopy camper. Specifically engineered and tested for the extreme conditions of the Pacific Northwest, the Cloud Cap offers explorers a seamless add-on to their van build. It features a unique pass-thru portal and internal operation, merging the van’s interior with a spacious rooftop loft offering elevated 270-degree views.

Constructed using marine-grade polyester tent fabric, polypropylene composite panels, and proprietary aluminum components, the 4-season capable Cloud Cap includes three operable storm doors and No-See-Um screens. These features allow for comfortable, panoramic views while the adjustable Flow State vents minimize condensation. The low-profile clamshell design has a walkable roof panel and numerous universal T-slots designed to integrate accessories like solar panels, awnings, cross bars, and more. The roomy sleeping area can accommodate two adults comfortably on EXPED’s MegaMat Duo LW+ mattress. Optional upgrades include the Gear Loft for overhead storage and the Therma Puff insulated liner for cold weather missions.

Super Pacific Founder and President Peter Williams explained the motivation behind Cloud Cap: “We created the Cloud Cap to eliminate that compromise, and we think it’s a big win for van owners.” Williams highlighted the challenge faced by van builders and how the Cloud Cap resolves the trade-off between a fiberglass pop-top for sleeping space and a roof rack for adventure accessories.

Engineered to be installed on various van models, Cloud Cap currently offers specific fitments for the Mercedes Sprinter and Ford Transit, with Ford E-Series and Ram ProMaster models coming soon. Super Pacific worked closely with van builders to develop a proprietary mounting kit, ensuring a quick and easy installation process.

Cloud Cap is sold and installed exclusively through Super Pacific’s network of authorized van builders, with an MSRP of $12,200. Like all Super Pacific products, Cloud Cap is built in the USA.
