The hydration pack experts at Camelbak have launched their spring ‘23 hiking hydration pack line, which includes the all-new Fourteener collection, fully redesigned Octane 22 and two new sizes in the Octane family. The new and redesigned hydration packs blend technical features with premium materials to provide hikers with a range of size options and styles suitable for any environment and length of day hike.

“At CamelBak, we’re deeply passionate about spending time in the outdoors and creating gear that helps us enhance our time outside. With a team full of avid hikers, our new hike hydration packs have been designed with smart features that were informed by spending countless miles on the trail,” says Emma Axtell, product manager at CamelBak. “We’re thrilled to offer hikers ultimate versatility in the Fourteener and Octane collections that can be appreciated by both experienced and new hikers alike, as they set out on the trail this summer.”

CamelBak’s hiking hydration packs provide consumers with two distinct styles of packs for varied styles of hiking. The Fourteener collection was designed with all-day endeavors in mind, while the Octane series of packs were made for ultra-light and fast missions on the trail.

Fourteener Series Takes You Higher

Aptly named to reflect rugged mountains that are fourteen-thousand feet or greater in elevation, the Fourteener collection of hydration packs are available in both men’s and women’s-specific fits. The men’s models are available in 26-liter (MSRP $140) and 32-liter (MSRP $175) size options, while the women’s are available in 24-liter (MSRP $140) and 30-liter (MSRP $175) volumes.

Hiking-specific details are shared throughout the collection, including trekking pole attachment points, side stretch pockets for easy access to essentials, and CamelBak’s iconic Command Center Harness, which places a mesh pocket on a shoulder strap for fast access to a phone or any other small item, while providing stability with an adjustable sternum strap and hip belt. An expandable mesh pocket is found on the larger volume packs while a bungee system is incorporated into the smaller sizes for easily stashing extra layers.

All of the Fourteener packs include a 3-liter Crux reservoir to stay hydrated on full-day adventures, as well as a suspension mesh back panel to help reduce weight, increase airflow and provide a comfortable fit. Sustainable construction with durable PU-coated 210D Bluesign-approved ripstop and 300D recycled polyester materials ensure the contents are well protected in tough environments, while reflective details help provide added visibility in low light.

The Octane Family Grows

Whether you’re interested in going ultralight to reach higher heights or picking up the pace for a fast hiking adventure, the Octane family of packs is built to keep you light on your feet, no matter where the trail leads. New sizes in the collection include 12-liter (MSRP $130) and 16-liter (MSRP $150) models, while a redesigned 22-liter (MSRP $170) volume, completes the family.

Carving out space in the hike pack collection as a premium option, the Octane series of packs are the only models that come standard with CamelBak’s upgraded 2-liter Fusion reservoir.

All of the Octane packs are constructed of ultralight PU-coated 75D Cordura ripstop and treated with C0 DWR for added protection, feature a back panel that blends 3D vent mesh and a ridged EVA foam for optimal airflow, and reflective details that provide added visibility in low light conditions.

These packs are loaded with useful features, such as a unique vest-style harness system with integrated storage to provide superior stability in rough terrain, trekking pole attachment points, and mesh stretch pockets on the front and sides of the pack for easy access to essentials.

The main pocket on the 16L model features a roll-top closure for top-loading gear, paired with a full-length vertical zip for quick entry, while the 12 and 22-liter models utilize a full-length main zipper that can fold down entirely for unobstructed access to contents.

The new CamelBak Fourteener and Octane collections are available now at authorized CamelBak retailers and at online www.CamelBak.com.
